Univermag building before the war and today. In this building
General field marshal Friedrich Paulus surrender in 31 january 1943.
Tsaritsa ravine, little south from the absolute Staliningrad
centre.
During the battle this slopes was filled with tunnels and rooms.
Some people say that the tunnels was connected with buildings in the
centre of the town, but i don't know, interesting idea do.

A view over the shores at Volga where hundred of thousands
of Soviet soldiers and equipment went over during the war.
The famous T-34 tank some kilometres west from town. This
tank marking the place where soldiers of the 21st and 62nd
Armies met on January 26th, 1943.
Some items my russian friends showed us.
A german ammo belt picked up from some kind
of preservation liquid for the photo taking.
A Soviet AT-grenade ( just the body of it ) and some ammo boxes
and other rusty war items.
Our guide told us that this building and some more in the
northern part of Stalingrad MAYBE was left
fairly intact after the war.
